A privilege to speak at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM)

Aleevar's Yap Far Loon and Amirah Halim shared experience in information system and database technology to Management students 

Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) Ts Dr Loo Chin Wah is an extraordinaire teacher and also a good friend of mine. He candidly invited me as guest speakers for 2 lectures in relation to information system and database technology earlier this year. That came true.

Aleevar's Amirah, business analyst and I had the honour and privilege to speak at XMUM located in Sepang, Selangor Malaysia.

The topic was "Data analytics and dashboard in Google Cloud Platform: Breaking down Behavioural Economics in Convenience Stores (CVS)" as part of industry experience exchange to these management students. We provided an exposure on practical automated data scraper from Google Map Review leading to storage at Google Workspace, automation in Google Cloud Platform, managing data via Big Query and finally exporting to data visualisation with Looker Studio.

Special thanks to Dr Tan, who is also the Chair for External Affairs, School of Economics and Management, Xiamen University Malaysia for the exchange and the opportunity to visit the campus. In the class, I was delighted with the responsiveness from the students enquiring and contributing their inputs in the lectures. My guess, and very grateful to, Ts Dr Loo who must have pre-empted his students so well that making my speaking task a sweet breeze. Of course, my gratitude to Ms. Khoo Yen Loo (not in the picture), Senior Administrative Executive of School of Economics and Management for the elaborate tour and hospitality.

Ts Dr Loo Chin Wah shared "The e-Commerce technology teaching team at School of Economics and Management, Xiamen University Malaysia always strive to bridge the gap between class room theory and industry practices by integrating and complement our digital commerce students learning journey with hand-on practice development and industry use cases.
